Busking QR
questions, answered.

How do I make a QR code for busking?

Create a free My Fedora account, then download your QR from your dashboard. Connect an available payment provider before using it to receive support. Print the QR or download a landscape poster to display beside your setup.

Is the QR code really free?

Your account, artist profile, QR code and poster downloads are free, with no subscription. My Fedora charges a 0% platform fee on artist support. Payment-provider processing fees still apply, and supporters can choose a separate, optional contribution to My Fedora. Printed products and Tip Puck are optional purchases.

Can I download my QR before completing my profile?

Yes. Your QR is available after account creation, so you can prepare your printed display while you finish setting up. You must connect payments before supporters can pay you. Your full artist profile can be completed later.

How does the audience leave a tip?

They scan your QR with their phone camera to open your personalised checkout, choose an amount and confirm payment with your connected provider. They do not need a My Fedora account or a separate app. Card and wallet availability depends on the provider, country and device.

Do I need a card reader or Tip Puck?

No. You can start with a printed QR and your connected payment account. Tip Puck is an optional, battery-free NFC tap point that opens your support link on a compatible phone. It is not a contactless card terminal.

Does a busking QR code work without internet?

The printed QR needs no power, but the supporter’s phone needs an internet connection to open the page and complete payment. Check mobile reception at your pitch before relying on cashless support.
