Support payments
Payments, Fees & Refunds
This policy explains the payment relationship between supporters, artists, My Fedora and each artist's selected payment provider.
Effective 15 September 2026
1. What a support payment is
A support payment is a voluntary payment to the artist selected on the payment screen. It is not a charitable donation and is not represented as tax-deductible. Unless a separate offer expressly says otherwise, it does not purchase goods, tickets, services or influence over the artist.
2. Who processes and receives the payment
Each payment-enabled artist connects their own seller account with the supported payment provider offered for their selected country. My Fedora creates the secure checkout for that artist, but the regional provider processes the payment in the artist's account and pays funds to the bank account the artist nominates to that provider. My Fedora does not pool artist support in its own merchant account and does not store complete card or bank-account details.
3. 0% My Fedora fee on artist support
My Fedora deducts 0% from the amount a supporter selects for an artist. Before checkout, the supporter may voluntarily increase the total to help the artist receive the full selected amount after ordinary payment processing and to help keep My Fedora running and free for artists. The option is not required to complete the payment and is unchecked by default.
The optional amount shown is an estimate comprising the provider's published standard local processing cost on the resulting checkout total and an amount equal to 2% of the original artist-support amount for My Fedora. If the supporter accepts, only that 2% portion is collected for My Fedora through the connected provider; the remainder stays in the artist's account to help offset processing. If the supporter declines, My Fedora's fee is zero and the provider's ordinary processing fee is deducted from the artist's payment.
Street-shop payments are sales rather than artist support. A separate account-specific My Fedora fee may apply to those transactions and is disclosed to the artist.
4. Provider processing charges
The selected provider separately charges the artist processing fees under the artist's provider agreement. Provider rates may change and can vary by country, payment method, card origin and currency. Because the optional amount uses a standard-rate estimate, it cannot guarantee that the artist receives the exact selected amount in every case.
5. Refund requests
A change of mind does not automatically create a right to a refund. We will investigate duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, unauthorised transactions, technical errors and any situation where a refund or other remedy is required by law.
Email support@myfedora.com.au promptly with the payment date, amount, artist and receipt email. Do not send full card details. The artist is the seller for the payment, so My Fedora may coordinate with the artist and their selected provider. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. The provider and payment networks control processing time and may retain processing fees under their terms.
6. Disputes and chargebacks
If you do not recognise a payment, contact us promptly. You may also have rights through your card issuer. Artists must cooperate with reasonable enquiries about payments attributed to them. The selected provider may hold, reverse or recover funds, and its dispute rules apply.
7. Failed or delayed payments and payouts
A payment is complete only when the selected provider confirms it. Banks, wallets and payment networks may decline, delay or reverse a transaction. Artist payouts can be delayed by provider onboarding, verification, reserves, disputes, fraud controls or legal requirements. My Fedora cannot promise a provider's acceptance or payout timing.
8. Records, tax and artist responsibilities
Artists are responsible for their provider account, payout details, receipts, financial records and any tax, reporting or other legal obligations arising from support payments. My Fedora provides payment records for convenience but does not provide tax or accounting advice.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If My Fedora separately sells Halo Pulse hardware or another product, the applicable sale terms and consumer guarantees also apply.
